In response to the current COVID-19 pandemic and per our local and federal guidelines, we will re-open ECRL at a limited capacity on Monday, June 8, 2020, implementing the following procedural modifications to protect both our Staff and Panelists.
Staff and Panelists will have their body temperature taken daily in order to enter the building. Individuals exhibiting acceptable body temperature will receive a sticker with the date to wear on their clothes or uniform indicating that their temperature has been verified for that day. Any Staff or Panelist that presents a body temperature higher than 100.4°F (fever) will be required to have their temperature re-taken after a five minute rest period. If the individual presents a body temperature of 100.4°F or higher for a second time, they will not be permitted into the building for at least twenty-four hours. Individuals who have a fever will be interviewed by medical personnel and will be instructed on when they are authorized to return to ECRL. All information will be documented.
Upon entering the building, all Staff and Panelists will be required to wear a face mask at all times. Panelists will need to provide their own face mask covering their mouth and nose. Acceptable face masks for Panelists include bandanas and scarves. Whether a Panelist face mask is considered acceptable to enter the facility will be at the discretion of an ECRL employee.
Due to limited capacity, only Panelists with scheduled study appointments will be allowed to enter the lab. Once their appointment has been completed, they will be promptly escorted out of the building. Minors in the care of Panelists will not be permitted in the lab at this time. We will still be accepting new Panelists sign-ups via phone interview until further notice.
On-site Panelists processes for sign in to study evaluations will be modified to ensure a safe distance between Staff and Panelists. This process will vary from study to study based on the evaluations involved. Staff will be wearing additional PPE when study evaluations are being performed for further safety precautions.
Each facility has been thoroughly cleaned and disinfected by a professional cleaning company. Cleaning and disinfecting will take place after each Panelist visit in the applicable space, twice a day throughout the facility (approximately at 10 AM and 2 PM), and again at the end of each business day. All ECRL facilities will be stocked with additional hand soap, sanitizer, and disinfectant wipes.
